The new Xcaliber RT Spin Wedge Golf Shaft was designed with a rapidly narrowing 2.5 in. section below the grip. It tapers down to an almost parallel section that reaches all the way to the tip. The lower section is stiffer than most iron or wedge shafts to avoid crazy high spin.

To hit good wedge shots, you do need an adequate amount of spin action. Think of the action of a whip—all the energy of the cord is stored until the last moment of release. This is what causes the familiar “snap” you hear. The RT Spin Wedge Golf Shaft acts on a similar principle. As you make contact, the shaft transfers energy to the ball and increases spin.

Extensive player and robotic testing with the RT Spin Wedge Golf Shaft has shown increases in spin rate over 2,000 rpm above that of steel shafts designed for the same purpose. If you have a slow to average swing speed, we recommend using the 85g version. You can expect to get high launch and high spin.

For faster swing speeds, we recommend using the 100g version. It will deliver a medium to high ball flight with slightly less spin.

Experienced Club Makers:

• A combination of tip and butt trim is also allowed (3 in. max. tip trim)
• Measure tip outer diameter and hosel depth before tipping to ensure proper fit.
