Using their Little Brother - the RTI75 gram irons - as a benchmark, the 85-gram RTI85 iron shafts were designed as a little heavier version of the RTI75s. Continuing our commitment to testing all new designs with players with a variety of skill levels and age, we did not release these designs until we were satisfied these heavier designs met the true features and benefits of the RTI75s. And we learned something in this iterative process…as the weight increases in these unique shaft designs, the location of the taper needs to change as well.
Expect a potential higher swing speed, mid-high launch with a steeper angle of decent for pinpoint placement.
Like the RTI75s, the RTI85s can also be used as the starting weight of an ascending weight set of irons. For example, one can use the RTI85s in the hybrids and long irons, the 95 gram RTI95s in the mid irons and the 105 gram RTI105s in the short irons.
Standard Trim Instructions
