Most other companies create hybrid golf shafts by simply extending an iron design out 1-2”. That approach simply does not give proper consideration to the unique distribution of mechanical properties (ex. CG or center of gravity) of hybrid heads.
It’s that distribution of the heads’ properties that requires a unique distribution of the shaft’s properties, especially the distribution of stiffness and weight.
