XCaliber Golf Club Shafts
Hi Robin,
Just thought I would let you know that the winner of the NZPGA Tour School in January won with the Xcal 7.5 TS shaft in his driver. I am starting to get some of our young tour pros wanting to come and talk to me about them so the word is getting around just how good the shafts are.

Cheers,

Robin,
Just a note to let you know, we here at Pinseekers have been BIG fans of the Xcalibers since introduction. Here's why: you have an excellent product, at a reasonable price, that performs as good or better than some of the $200-300 shafts now on the market. And now that you have Hybrid Shafts, Iron Shafts, and a Tour Line, the sky is the limit. We sold more Calibers last year than any of the other graphite shafts being handled by our shop. Keep doing what you've done thus far and, as soon as people better understand the issue of cost vs. performance, we believe we will see even deeper in-roads captured by Xcaliber.

Thanks for designing and coming out with your AXE line of shafts! It is very cool to be able to speak directly to the real source of the product...thanks again!

Robin,
I just wanted to give you a quick update. I installed the Tour shaft in TS flex with no tip trimming in a 9 degree SMT DB+ head. First thing this combo looks really good. Let me tell you, it performs as good as it looks. This is a stout shaft. It is not for the faint of heart. For me personally, I don't feel I have to overpower it, though. What I like about it is the way I can work the ball. I can work it and it doesn't overhook or it doesn't turn into a big cut or a slice. I was literally picking targets in the fairway and landing within 7-10 yards of them. My first impressions are this: LONG, stable, on target, low spin, looks good, and did I mention LONG? :) I believe I will be ordering some more of these shafts. Keep up the good work, Robin!

Robin,
I finally built a PFT 10.8 degree head for myself and put the tour stiff shaft in it. I played with it for the first time yesterday and can't remember a club that so quickly fell into line. It was very windy and I was able to control the trajectory at will. A boring, low-flying draw missile or a soaring light fade. Accuracy was amazing and the ball always stayed on its intended line. Any misses were only slightly offline and little distance was lost. Going after the ball with gusto didn’t faze the shaft either. What a fantastic shaft. I will definitely be experimenting with some fairway woods this summer.

I have been using the Xcaliber shafts for over 4 years and they quickly became the ONLY shaft line I'll recommend. A large majority of my business is fitting and club making for Tour-caliber players, and I have yet to find any shafts that perform as well as the Xcaliber Tour shafts (now even improved and called Xcaliber Pro Series) for better players. What's more, Robin and his team are always available for help, will go the extra distance for a small account like me, and I believe in his message of telling the truth regarding cost vs. performance to the world.

All I can say is this: I think the Xcalibers perform as well, and usually MUCH better than any shaft line out there. I'm lucky. I was successful in an earlier life and don't give a hoot about money...just the results. Let me just say this: me and ALL my friends at the Club use the Xcalibers. And getting to know Robin and how helpful (and patient) he's been all along has been a pleasure.

I've never given a testimonial on anything until now. I had a problem with a couple broken shafts and was really having a hard time getting them replaced. I got Robin's name and contact info through the GEA forum and gave him a call. Not only did he get the shafts replaced the very next day, but the fitting recommendations he personally gave me over the next couple weeks were spot on. Now all my friends are Xcaliber fans as well.

I've been working with and helping Robin with his player testing for over 20 years now. His creativity and approach to player testing is as dedicated and thorough as any I've ever been associated with. I've won over 50 club championships and the only shafts I'll play are the Xcalibers.

Robin,
After meeting you a couple of times at the Golfworks schools, I advocate what you have been telling the world and I push your shafts wherever I can. Thanks again and take care.

Hi Robin,
Thank you for creating yet another great product. Since the day you gave me a few demo shafts, I have become a “real” believer of the Xcaliber line. I have sold a number of the shafts and folks love them. I have a customer with a 1 handicap playing your TS shaft and he is saying it is the best feeling shaft he has ever used. I am playing the Xcaliber 5 and also have to say I can't remember playing a better shaft. Again, thank you for creating a great product at an even better price. The truth never hurts.

On a whim, I placed an order for the AXE Tour TS stiff; had it SST pured. Built three drivers, all the same club head (Superfast TP), same grip (Golf Pride VDR blue), same ferrule, 4x wraps of grip tape, 4 g tip weight, 44.75” in length, one with the Xcaliber Tour in stiff, one with the Diamana Blueboard 63s and one with a Fujikura Motore F1 65s ...and off to the range I go.

I'll keep it short: best for feel through impact and transition to downswing - the Xcaliber. Best ball flight for me, which is mid to high - the Xcaliber. Best performance - the Xcaliber (I was carrying the 250 yd sign into a 10km/h (6mph) head/cross wind with Srixon range balls). All others were shorter by 3-7 yds, no ballooning, a nice angle of decent with some roll, maybe 2-3 yards on a wet and soft driving range.

These shafts are fantastic! I now feel real foolish for forking out $250 plus for other shafts that do NOT perform better, at least for me. I will upgrade my fairways (3 and 5) and one hybrid club (22 degree) to AXE Xcaliber shafts. Having just found these great shafts and having done a side by side outdoor comparison, why would I ever pay more for a slick paint job that doesn't perform better? I won't. Great job, Robin. You know how to produce a great shaft at a price that is awesome!
