Our Xcaliber Pro Fairway Wood Shaft is specifically designed for the latest in fairway wood head designs.

Yet most component and OEM fairway wood shafts are simply wood shafts that are tip-trimmed to increase their stiffness. What’s more, most of them are tested using driver heads. That means they’re not tuned to work with the unique characteristics of fairway woods. Because of this, few companies offer shafts that are progressively stiffer with each subsequent head loft.

Shaft is Designed and Tested for Success

We’re one of the few companies that does. Since the swing path for a fairway wood can be quite different than that of a driver, we believe fairway wood shafts deserve their own specific designs and testing protocols. That’s why every Pro Fairway Wood Shaft we make is designed and tested for a specific head type.

If you have a swing speed up to around 105 mph and a medium tempo / transition, the S-flex will give you a medium to high launch without too much spin.

If you have a swing speed in excess of 105 mph and want a lower trajectory, the TS-flex will deliver a more penetrating ball flight without excessive spin.

Trim Instructions

Standard:

Tip 0 in. for 3-wood, 0.5 in. increments for subsequent woods with a maximim of 3.5 in. tip trim.

Experienced Club Makers:

With a 5 in. parallel, trimming options are limitless. A maximum for any head is 3.5 in., providing the bore depth does not exceed 1.5 in.

Note: Trimming instructions are not set in stone (as a lot of companies will maintain). Rather they are a basic guide for assembly. Experimentation is definitely allowed and even encouraged once one has experience with the performance of any XCALIBER shaft.
